Graphite on Paper
Toynton began drawing at the age of three, and continued throughout his life. Many of his drawings from the 70’s on were preliminary sketches for the large pegboard installations he’d been commissioned to create, and later for series of paintings he was thinking of making, but he also produced a number of figurative drawings late in life. These are just a few samples of his work over many years.
